Game tester
This is one of the best jobs ever offered! Imagine playing video games for a living? This is technically what game testers do. Though it is most likely that you'll get hired if you're an experienced gamer with Nintendo products. If you truly play Wii and its many games, then you may apply as a game tester. Of course, other factors other than playing experience is involved.
When you get the job, you will check on test development software if they function right or if there are any programming issues. You also evaluate product for content guidelines and be able to document quality assurance checks. Of course, all these can't be done if you don't play the games. It's working while playing.
In Nintendo, it's important to know that they affiliated with two different contractors to handle associates. All positions however are located in Redmond, Washington.
Customer Service Representative
In every product there's a customer. As a customer service representative you help people in their queries and concerns regarding the product. Nintendo offers an opening for US and Canadian customer support. This will mainly cover Nintendo Game systems and set up, operation and troubleshooting, product promotions and general product information.
If you have good communication skills, then this could be a great niche for you. Try to contact Parker Services, the assigned contractor, to process your application.
Developer
A very important position in a game console company is the developer. Nintendo development teams are continually pushed to their limits to meet the increasing demand of games in the market. They need to consistently create good ideas and be able to face challenges. This is what makes the job fun and awesome.
If you have dreamt of creating a game before, then this could be a niche for you. Though keep in mind that it may require some experience and expertise to get you on board of the team.
Nintendo is also open in teaching aspired individuals who want to learn how to develop games. They train students and gives higher chance to probably get the job after. You can contact their school in regards for any queries.
Nintendo development teams are currently in need of artists, programmers, musicians and engineers. Start figuring out what you want for a job. Take note that most development takes in Japan, basically the job offer in the US can be somehow limited.
